Well, as I write - once again it is 1:15am and still can not get a grip on the time change. I'm certain that I will have it down once it is time to head home!
Today was a action packed day of team-building with the entire Barix crew. They had many many activities - most were a grand learning experience. Some... well... it's meetings!!! Over all it was an invaluable experience to finally meet the co-workers that I have been working closely with for over a year face to face. And to see what makes Barix tick.
We departed Titisee, Germany around 4pm and headed back to Zurich. I have had my fill of public transportation already! It's been bus, tram, train and a long walk to the hotel. All during Zurich rush hour. This rush hour is much different from Minnesota rush hour! It's shoulder to should people instead of bumper to bumper. I must say that I much prefer bumper to bumper. At least I don't have to be armpit height next to a very stinky older woman on her way home from the gym. GOOD LORD!
So we reach our hotel... a very dorm like hotel. EXTRA small room but perfectly comfortable! Very nice and clean. A small group of us are staying here (2 Italians, 1 German, 1 Argentinian & 2 Minnesotans). We ventured off through downtown Zurich to locate a nice place for dinner. Was a nice evening - a bit on the cold side (55 degrees) and once again very cloudy. Looked as if it could pour but it stayed away. We found a nice Italian place that the two Italian gentleman approved of and we sat down to a great dinner and wonderful conversation.
And once again - It is time to hit the sack. Tomorrow will be a short meeting in the morning at the Barix Headquarters and then Brenda and I will begin our real vacation! We will catch a train to Lucerne and I couldn't be more excited!
So - more tomorrow from Lucerne, Switzerland! Good night!
I posted some pictures! And by the way - I miss Germany already!
